How this calculator works
Volume = length × width × depth, converted to cubic yards (÷27) and to tons at about 1.4 tons per cubic yard. Pea gravel is rounded, so it shifts underfoot more than crushed stone.
What changes how much you need
- 2 inches is enough for decorative cover; 3 inches for walkable paths.
